I believe that each of us is a truly unique human being, doing our best to be happy.

We are effected by many important relationships and events, some of which make us strong and happy, but some cause us a great deal of pain, leave us confused, helpless, enraged or chronically dissatisfied.... no matter how much stuff we acquire, no matter how much success we accomplish...

When you finally allow yourself to give voice to your deepest hurts and your most painful thoughts and feelings in the presence of a trusted, understanding therapist - incredible healing change CAN occur.

Therapy is such a powerful experience because of the unusually supportive, honest relationship you learn to build with the therapist over time. This relationship offers a safe haven to get to know yourself better, to change and to accept yourself...

In this relationship you will tend to repeat the same destructive patterns that prevent you from leading a happier life. It is my challenge as a therapist to point these patterns out to you. It is our challenge together to understand what is causing these destructive patterns and to begin to correct them. Because authentic change is tough, we will first "practice" it together, before you feel ready to try it in your life, where it really matters!
