Everyday busy life makes it nearly impossible to be open and honest with others, to know that they too struggle with very similar problems, fears and worries. Group therapy helps you to get to know yourself in relationships with others in a deeper way and recognize universality of every aspect of your struggles. This powerful experience helps you understand that you are not as different as you think and you are not alone.
It is normal to have questions and concerns when you are thinking about joining a group. What am I going to get out of this? Will there be enough time to deal with my problems in a group setting? What if I am uncomfortable with people in the group?... Please contact me to discuss your concerns in more detail or visit American Group Psychotherapy Association website at www.agpa.org to get more information on this form of therapy.
Group for Young Professional Women.
While there is an expectation of young professional women in their 20's and 30's to have most questions about self-esteem, career, and intimate relationships figured-out, I found that many still struggle with these universal concerns in secret from family and friends. This often results in feelings of shame and alienation, exacerbating original difficulties, leaving you feeling stuck. I started this group in order to help create a safe space where young women can voice their challenges, recognize commonalities, and most importantly - offer mutual support.
